The Jaguar
Our ICI Mascot
Why the jaguar?
The jaguar not only symbolizes power; it also represents values we find in the Word of God that are important to us: strength, wisdom, and purpose.
Around 2007, the founding directors adopted the mascot with the aim of raising awareness and spreading information about this endangered native animal. Years later our mascot reappeared in 2018, when it was baptized by our students with the name Otto. Otto.
World Jaguar Day (Panthera onca)
Date declared by the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (Cop14) in 2018, sponsored by the United Nations (UN).

🐾 Strength that comes from God:
he jaguar is the most powerful feline in America! At ICI, we understand true strength as that which comes from God. It is not about imposing oneself, but about standing firm in values, truth, and love.
📖 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)
🌪️ Agility to serve:
The jaguar moves with stealth, speed, and precision. We seek that same agility in learning, collaboration, and problem-solving, not only to excel, but to serve others with excellence.
📖 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” (Colossians 3:23)
🧠 Intelligence and wisdom guided by God:
The jaguar is a symbol of intuition and balance. At ICI, we understand that true wisdom comes from God and as our guiding verse
“Wisdom is more precious than rubies” (Proverbs 8:11).
